A young carer is someone under the age of 18 who looks after a family member who has a disability, illness, mental health condition, or a drug or alcohol problem.
If you think you may be a young carer you can call us on 03450 956701 option 4.
‘Young carers is great because it makes you feel so welcome if you had a bad day and makes you feel like part of a big community.’
We can provide training to staff and deliver assemblies to raise awareness to students.
These are great days out mainly during the school holidays which give you fun times, with a good group of friends and allow you to be kids for the day. The project has visited places such as Thorpe Park, Joss Bay and London Theatres.
This gives a chance for Young Carers to meet with others, have fun and know that they are not alone. Currently available in Maidstone and Sittingbourne.
